Shaun is a final-year Bachelor of Arts student at the University of Melbourne, specialising in Politics & International Studies and Linguistics & Applied Linguistics. He became fluent in Spanish as an adult and honed his skills while backpacking through South America, an experience that brought together his passions for politics and language and sparked a lasting interest in the region's international affairs.

Shaun recently interned at the British Consulate-General Melbourne and is particularly interested in how domestic political developments intersect with international affairs. As Regional Correspondent for Latin America, he hopes to inform about and advocate for a part of the world that remains underreported in Australian media, and that first ignited his interest in international relations and linguistics.

Outside of work and study, Shaun is a keen supporter of the Melbourne Demons and enjoys playing tennis whenever he can.
