Melissa Dib is a fifth-year Law and Business (Human Resource Management) student at the University of Technology, Sydney. Her passion for international law has led to her currently planning to write her honours thesis on analysing principles of international law peacekeeping regimes with a particular focuse on the regime in Southern Lebanon.

In addition to YDS, Melissa is currently an intern at the New South Wales Council for Civil Liberties and the UTS Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research. Her experience varies from education and tutoring, mentoring, legal research and advocacy. She was nominated as a finalist for the 2023 Female Law Student of the Year awards and has represented her university in various national competitions. Melissa is passionate about the interplay between international law principles and their ability to effectively meet the needs of nations and their constituents, whilst also ensuring human rights are being adequately protected.
