Laura Innocenti is a PhD candidate at Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, where her research delves into civil society, historical narratives, and memory studies, with a strong focus on Russia and the post-Soviet space. Her dissertation, "War and Migration: Russian Activists' Memory Debates in their New Host Countries," investigates how Russian memory activists use historical narratives to challenge state-driven discourse and advocate for social change.
She holds a Master’s in International Relations from Monash University and a Bachelor's in Applied Foreign Languages (English-Russian) with a translation focus from Aix-Marseille Université. Outside her academic pursuits, Laura is passionate about languages, triathlon, and loves spending time in nature.
