About the Event

Australia and the UK in 2020

Join us for an evening unpacking the future of Australia's engagement with the UK, foreign policy issues at the forefront of COVID-19, and Britain's transition out of the EU.

During this virtual roundtable, we are joined by former Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer AC. He is currently the Executive Chair of the International School for Government, King's College London, having occupied the position of Australian High Commissioner to the UK between 2014-2018.

We will be discussing:

  • The impact of Brexit on the UK and its international outlook.
  • Australia-UK foreign policy and trade relationships.
  • Economic challenges posed by COVID-19.
  • Audience Q&A.

We are honoured to host Mr Alexander Downer AC and look forward to seeing you at the event!
